Princeton born violinist Rose Jang is an internationally acclaimed Korean-American pop opera artist who is well known for singing operatic arias, musical and classic pop songs. Rose has reached a record-breaking number one on the domestic and international music charts for her rendition of the song "Memory" from the musical "Cats." Possessing a voice that transcends musical boundaries, she has been compared with Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, and Elaine Paige.

Rose is a graduate of Smith College and was a member of the New Jersey Youth Symphony as a first violinist where she performed in Carnegie Hall as well as many concerts throughout New Jersey.

Rose is an official ambassador for many organizations including the Korean Tourism Office and UNESCO.

Recently,  she was chosen to be an ambassador for Jeju Island in the Southern most part of South Korea. Jeju Island is a UNESCO natural heritage site as well as a candidate now in the running to become one of the world’s 7 new wonders.

Rose was recently chosen as one of Korea’s "9 Most Shining Stars" by Arirang Television Network. Arirang TV, a popular network in Asia, aired a documentary of her life in music that was broadcast in 170 countries around the world reaching an audience of 150 million people

Rose has won a number of awards for her accomplishments in music including the award for "Outstanding Vocalist" in the "Classical" category at the South Korean Entertainment Awards and received the "Special" award at Asia’s largest music festival, The Asia Song Festival. Rose has performed at major events including the inaugural ceremony of South Korean President Lee Myung Bak, an event celebrating U.N. Secretary General Ban, Ki-Moon, the opening of the Asia Song Festival, Pridefest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she performed alongside legendary R&B vocalist Patti Labelle and at the 2006 World Cup in South Korea where she performed cheer songs for crowds of 100,000 people.

She recently sang for the G20 Business Summit. She also performed the national anthem at the 2010 Formula One Grand Prix in Korea. In the summer of 2010, Rose performed during the South Africa World Cup in Johannesburg in front many of the world’s top FIFA presidents. In addition, she has performed for many FIFA events and has even been praised by FIFA chairman, Seth Blatter and former FIFA Vice President, Mong Joon Jung.

Rose is currently working on a project that will allow her to promote Korean culture globally. She plans to perform traditional Korean folk songs in English at concert halls around the world. In February of 2010, she debuted these rearranged Korean folk songs at Seoul Arts Center.

Upon finishing a symphony tour in South Korea which included a sold-out solo concert at Korea’s largest Arts Center, the Sejong Center of the Performing Arts and this past December, Rose performed a "sold out" solo Christmas concert at Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium and. She has also completed another 2011 Seoul Arts Center solo concert entitled "Nouveaux Classics" where she debuted rearranged 80’s "New Wave" hits and original theme songs from popular films. Performing with 60-80 member orchestras

Rose is a former spokesmodel for LANCOME cosmetics and was featured in Elle, Vogue, and Marie Claire magazines.

Since 2005, Rose has released five albums and a DVD of a live concert she held to a sold-out audience at Seoul Arts Center. Her albums and DVD are sold internationally through Barns & Noble, Tower Records, iTunes, Amazon and Yahoo, etc. Rose is currently signed with CJ/MNET, the largest record label in Asia, Sense Music(SE Asia), MVD(USA & Canada), Musik vom Feinstein(Germany, Austria & Switzerland) and Warner Music Korea.
